Kansas City Portrait Spotlight: Meet Creative Professional Tristyn Kendall

I'm Tristyn Kendall, and I define myself by my dedication to family, friends, and work. Adopted by a loving, supportive family, I learned early to be confident and empathetic—a foundation that, along with growing up with three older brothers, prepared me to embrace the joy of being a boy mom. I believe in putting in the work and learning from every twist in the journey, even when outcomes aren’t what I hoped for.

I’ve conquered challenges by going with the flow, making the most of what I have, and trusting that with support, life’s lows can be overcome. My professional path has revealed that I'm creative, loyal, and passionate about helping others. Above all, I’m most proud of the kind-hearted boys my husband and I are raising.

Confidence, to me, means not needing to shout every accomplishment aloud. I nurture myself through exercise and staying active—whether that's walking my 12-year-old shelter dog, who’s my emotional support, or taking time for a solo adventure in London and even participating in the 1st Squidgame: The Challenge.

My message for women over 40 is simple: Wear sunscreen, be active, and live in the moment. Life’s challenges can be overcome.
