I'm BJ Trometer, and I define myself by resilience, curiosity, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact in the world. My life has been enriched by living and working in various countries, immersing myself in different cultures, and learning from diverse perspectives. Each new environment has challenged me to adapt, overcome language barriers, and navigate high-pressure negotiations—all experiences that have strengthened my resolve.
One of the hardest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of self-care and prioritizing my well-being, especially in demanding roles. My professional journey has taught me the power of collaboration, the value of empathy, and the necessity of continuous learning and growth. I'm most proud of the work I've done to improve the lives of women and children in vulnerable communities, a testament to my passion for meaningful change.
To me, confidence means believing in myself, trusting my instincts, and having the courage to take risks. I nurture my spirit by spending time in nature, practicing mindfulness, and engaging in activities that bring me joy and fulfillment—like reading, hiking, traveling, and exploring new cities on solo adventures to savor local cuisine.
Over time, my relationships have grown deeper and more authentic as I've learned the art of open, honest communication. I find balance by setting boundaries, prioritizing my time, and scheduling activities that nourish my mind, body, and spirit.
My message to other women over 40 is simple: Embrace your age, celebrate your wisdom, and never stop pursuing your dreams.
I loved my portrait session because it offered me a chance to celebrate my journey, embrace my beauty, and feel empowered in my own skin. I hope to inspire others by living authentically, leading with compassion, and showing that it's never too late to make a difference in the world.
