Survivor to Leader: Amanda’s Inspiring Over 40 Journey
Every experience I’ve had—from coming to the U.S. as an impoverished legal immigrant from Mexico to enduring all forms of abuse as a child, to now living the life I’ve built—has shaped the person I am today.
There have been so many versions of me throughout my life. But as I’ve grown older, I’ve realized that many of the versions of myself as a younger woman were deeply shaped—sometimes tainted—by the horrific experiences I endured as a child. It took time, healing, and radical responsibility to step into who I truly am.
How Branding Photography Captures Confidence and Strength
Now, I find myself falling in love with the woman I have become—and the woman I am still becoming.
When I open up about my journey, my hope is to inspire radical responsibility in those who listen. We are not merely victims or survivors; we are extraordinary human beings shaped by our experiences—some beautiful, others painful beyond words. But in the end, what truly matters is how we rise, how we move forward, and how we choose to impact the world in a powerful and meaningful way.
The session was seamless. My photographers made me feel at ease, were very accommodating, and thoughtfully guided me through each pose. Choosing my final images was challenging because there were so many great shots! Each one captured the professional look I was aiming for. So far, the images have been used in direct mail, digital and social media marketing, and integrated into the company’s brand. As the face of PLEX Capital, these images help establish my authority and expertise in the industry.
