I’m Kellie Crow—a designer, mom, and Vespa-loving creative who believes in embracing life’s joy and color. After earning my degree in Interior Design from Kansas State in 2003, I packed up and moved to San Francisco without knowing a soul. I spent over five years designing high-end residential projects featured in national magazines, living out my dream of working in a big city.

Since returning to the Kansas City area, I’ve continued my design career with Johnson County homebuilders, earning 10 awards for my work featured in the Kansas City Parade of Homes. I’m grateful to express my creativity every day while helping clients transform their spaces into something truly special.

Balancing Motherhood, Marriage, and Creativity

In 2013, I met my husband Jeff, and we’ve since welcomed our two amazing kids, Grayson and Ella. Being their mom is one of my life’s greatest joys, even as I navigate the daily dance of work, marriage, and motherhood. Yoga has become my sanctuary—my space to breathe, reset, and reconnect with myself.

Velma the Vespa: Adding Fun and Freedom to Her Kansas City Portraits

This year, I finally gave myself permission to buy something just for me: Velma the Vespa. Riding her, pink visor and glitter helmet on, brings me a freedom and joy I hadn’t felt in years. It’s a reminder to say yes to myself more often—and that includes experiences like this photo session. It was empowering, fun, and something every woman deserves to do for herself.
